The group did this to protest against nuclear energy. Among the artists who performed were Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, then only active for six years. Their legendary shows at these No Nukes concerts marked the beginning of their successful careers, which would eventually earn them a place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. |
