At the center of it, ex-Suffokate vocalist Ricky Hoover reemerges as a force to contend with, condemning the trappings of conservative religiosity on tracks like the album’s volcanic opener, ‘Stained in Rot’ or the unforgettable ‘Death Ov Circumstance’.
