Za dobu svého působení vydali 23 studiových, 10 koncertních, 12 kompilačních a 5 EP desek. Po smrti Lemmyho v roce 2015 skupina oficiálně oznámila ukončení své existence. Mezi jejich největší hity patří skladby jako "Ace of Spades", "Overkill" a "Motörhead". Skupina je považována za jednu z nejtvrdších a nejautentičtějších v historii rocku. Na 8CD vychází souborné vydání koncertních záznamů vydávaných pod názvem „The Löst Tapes“ „The Löst Tapes – The Collection (Vol. 1-5)“.
