The songwriting genius Nick Lowe rears its lyrically fab head in the utterly brilliant rocker “I Knew The Bride.” Edmunds, Lowe & Company outdid themselves on this. The choice of songs is outstanding, the musicianship superb and the production first class! There’s a great version of “Hey Good Lookin'” that would make Hank proud. If you like your rock ‘n’ roll like it came out of Sun Studios, with a sense of humor as well as a sense of history, then ‘Get It.’ |
